IETS also won the first position in the Sankalp Awards, 2009 for High Impact in the Education Track. Sankalp is a South Asia Social Enterprise and Investment Forum. The Sankalp Award 2009 was an effort to recognize, connect and support high potential social initiatives. The organizers of Sankalp Award 2009 were Intellecap, Rockefeller Foundation, The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), the Rural Innovation Network (RIN) and Rianta Capital.
